Skip the fats and sugar
When you’ve been diagnosed with kidney disease, it’s especially important to know the ingredients in the food you eat. Even when used sparingly, some foods can be detrimental to your health. Kidney doctors explain that foods with high sugar or high amounts of fat should be avoided.
• Butter: Opt for canola or olive oil instead of butter when you can. The creamy spread is full of cholesterol and high levels of saturated fats.
• Frozen meals: Frozen meals are often high in sodium and contain additives. If convenience is a must for you, pick the frozen meals that are labeled as low sodium or no sodium added.

• Egg whites: Egg whites are a healthy way to do a high protein food on your kidney disease diet with less phosphorus.
• Fish: Protein, Omega-3s, and anti-inflammatory properties make fish a great option if you suffer from kidney disease.
• Onions: This powerhouse superfood is low in potassium and contains an antioxidant that works to reduce heart disease and defends against numerous cancers.
• Red bell peppers: This flavorful veggie is low in potassium, but high in vitamin C and A. In addition, they contain lycopene, an antioxidant that guards against some cancers.
